Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are to receive their own custom scent from perfume icon, Floris London, just for the special wedding. Amalia Robles, manager of Floris’s Jermyn Street store in London, revealed to People that the wedding perfume is very similar to the brand’s ‘Bergamotto di Positano’ perfume.

According to People’s publication, Floris has “created a perfume inspired by Bergamotto di Positano, a warm citrusy unisex scent with a romantic history. Bergamotto di Positano, was created in remembrance of the love between Mary Floris and her husband.  He left the village of Positano on the Amalfi coast in Italy to travel to England to marry her.”

Bergamotto di Positano contains fragrance notes of bergamot, orange blossom, ginger, and green tea, amber and vanilla.  Floris will be using these accords in the custom scent made for Harry and Meghan’s big day. However, as a part of Floris’s private collection, it’s seldom released and when it is, it’s done in very small quantities.

THE EXCITING BIT!!

Positano Amalfi Coast

Back in October 2017, we started to put our heads and noses together, to bring the next fragrance for our Spring/Summer 2018 fragrance.  Creative Director, Elizabeth Manford wanted to create a scent that held memories of her time spent on the Amalfi coast.

I will never forget the lazy days sat amongst the Lemon and Orange trees in the hotel grounds.  The hotel overlooked the coastal waters with Mount Vesuvius standing proud in the distance.  I always remember thinking to myself that I would capture this exact moment and it would live with me forever.

Bergamot & Orange Blossom launched in March of this year.

Top Notes  Bergamot

Middle Notes  Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang

Base Notes  Amber, Sandalwood, Vanilla

COUGH COUGH, SPLUTTER, SPLUTTER

Erm…  are these not the same notes that are going into Harry & Meghan’s Wedding Scent?  Did we get it right or what!!
